Fisher & Paykel DishDrawer™

Dishwashing in drawers

Fisher & Paykel launched the DishDrawer™ dishwasher in 1997. Instead of one large door, it has drawers that wash independently, placed where they suit the way you cook.

Why drawers

Two drawers, two loads

Each drawer holds a true half load of 6 place settings. Wash one while you fill the other, or run both at once on different programmes.

Drawers can go where they suit the way you cook: beside the sink, in an island or in a scullery. A single drawer can be fitted at bench height, so you load it with minimal bending.

Made for every load

Series 11 has eight programmes, three options and racking that adapts to what you put in.

Clean glass baby bottles and teats

8 programmes3 options

From Heavy to Light

Auto, Heavy, Medium, Light, 60 min, Glassware, Eco and Rinse.

Add Sanitise for extra protection, Dry+ for a hotter final rinse and longer drying, or Quiet to bring the noise down on some cycles – handy for late-night washing.

Clean wine glasses and tumblers turned upside down

Glassware programme

Safe for stemware

Wine glass supports with stemware grippers hold glasses steady, and the cup racks adjust in height and fold away.

Large white platter and a round dinner plate

Up to 31 cm

Room for the big plates

The tall drawer takes round plates up to 31 cm. Fold down the tines or change their pitch to make room for large cookware.

A cutlery basket, a knife clip and a multipurpose clip are included.

Soft-close

Forgot a cup?

Knock on the front panel to pause the wash, wait for the beeps, add it and press start to carry on.

The drawers are soft-close, so they are as nice to close as they are to open.

Integrated DishDrawer behind a kitchen front that matches the cabinets

Integrated

Part of the kitchen

Integrated DishDrawers take a front panel and handle that match your cabinets, so the drawers disappear into the kitchen. You can also choose Fisher & Paykel door panels in stainless steel or black stainless steel.

Prefer a finished front? DD60DCHX9 comes with stainless steel fronts and handles, and the controls on the front.

Front panels and handles for integrated models are sold separately, one of each per drawer. Panels should be 16–20 mm thick and weigh up to 9 kg including the handle.

Questions and answers

What is a DishDrawer™ dishwasher?

A dishwasher built as one or two drawers that wash independently. Fisher & Paykel launched it in 1997. You can get a single drawer, a double, or a tall single drawer that takes larger plates.

Should I choose a DishDrawer™ or a standard integrated dishwasher?

A DishDrawer™ suits you if you often run small loads or want to wash different things at the same time, or if you want drawers at a height that means less bending. Fisher & Paykel's 60 cm integrated dishwashers take a full load of 16 place settings behind one door.

What is new in Series 11?

A tall drawer for plates up to 31 cm, eight programmes including Auto, 60 min and Glassware, Knock to pause, soft-close drawers and a stainless steel interior. Energy class D with 6.4 litres of water per drawer on the Eco programme.

Is a front panel included?

Not with the integrated models. You need a front panel and a handle for each drawer: either a panel that matches your kitchen or a Fisher & Paykel door panel in stainless steel or black stainless steel. DD60DCHX9 has stainless steel fronts and handles already fitted.

What size opening do I need?

All models are made for a 60 cm wide opening. Series 11: at least 45.7 cm high for the tall single and 86.9–92.7 cm for the double, 57.8 cm deep, based on an 18 mm front panel. Series 9: at least 41.2 cm for the single, 45.6 cm for the tall single and 82 cm for the doubles, 57.9 cm deep. The product page has the full installation details.

Can I control it from my phone?

Yes. Connected models work with the SmartHQ™ app for remote control and notifications. Fisher & Paykel currently lists the SmartHQ™ app as supported in Denmark, Sweden and Finland, among other EU countries; Norway is not on the list.
